ABOUT THE FOUNDER
For many years in my role as a technical and service engineer for large HVAC manufacturers, I often felt frustrated because I couldn’t always find the right answers to help installers and designers overcome challenges. There’s a widespread expectation that manufacturers have all the knowledge in the world—but let me disappoint you: this is not true. Manufacturers are typically experts in their own products, but heating systems are highly complex. Even a small valve or a bit of dirt in the system can cause serious issues.
In fact, more than 95% of all faults, high energy consumption, and breakdowns are caused by installation issues, not the heat source itself. While gas boilers and fossil fuel technologies are generally more robust, heat pumps and refrigerant-based systems are highly sensitive to installation quality. Over time, I began asking myself:
“Why does everyone call me to solve heat pump issues when, in reality, the problem lies in the design or installation?”
This realization motivated me to share my knowledge and experiences to support others facing similar challenges. No one has all the answers to why something isn’t working as expected, but by connecting with colleagues, industry professionals, and end users, we can collaborate to close the knowledge gap and learn something new every day.
HVAC Education Hub began in 2023 as a personal hobby—a unique space to share experiences and knowledge about the HVAC industry, with a special focus on heat pumps and heating systems. The name embodies three core principles:
-
HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Cooling
-
Education: Videos, articles, formulas, tips & tricks, and an easy-to-understand approach
-
Hub: A center for knowledge, resources, and services
In 2025, I made the decision to leave my current role and dedicate my energy, knowledge, and passion to transforming the HVAC industry. While I don’t have all the answers, I firmly believe that by working together, we can improve heating systems. And by doing so, we create happier customers, healthier buildings, and a better planet.
